MANSFIELD AND SHERWOOD ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY, are holding their second public Solar Viewing day. You can use their powerful telescopes to see the sun in all its glory with special filters to enable you to see safely. There will be a number of Sun themed talks at intervals throughout the day with free fact-sheets being given out. Onsite parking is available but limited. Admission is FREE. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

RACHELs HARVEST is an annual event raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The event will feature vintage, classic and modern combines and tractors demonstrating harvest over the past decades. There will also be static displays, refreshments, raffle and more. Gates open at 11.00 am with the harvest commencing at noon. Have a fun afternoon while supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust and their brilliant work. £3 admission - children under 14 free.

They welcome anyone suffering with memory problems, carers, family and friends. The meetings are varied but they always offer a warm welcome, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and experienced volunteers who can offer support and advice.

NOTTINGHAM SRI LANKAN CRICKET AND FOOD FESTIVAL supporting the Kings Mill Hospital Gamma Scanner Appeal. This is a T20 exhibition cricket match including Sri Lankan national and first class players. A warm up match will start at 10am with a FREE coaching session with the Sri Lankan professionals during the interval. There will be entertainment for the kids including bouncy castle, music, refreshments and beverages. Fundraising raffle and donations welcome.

Visit the home of ROBIN HOOD for the 34th annual ROBIN HOOD FESTIVAL. The festival will be more interactive than ever before and will also include lots more nature based activities and crafts thanks to being run by the RSPB for the first time.
